[EXCLUSIVE] Interview with Molly Bedingfield, Natasha’s mom

Hello, check it out the interview that i made with Molly Bedingfield, Natasha’s mother.

Molly is also the CEO of Global Angels and everything she does it’s for help kids around the world, it’s so amazing! Check it out:

1 – What is your name?
    Molly Bedingfield

2 – Where are you from?
New Zealand… But have been living in London since I was 21. When Natasha was being interviewed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she said with a smile, “My mum’s the same age as Madonna.” …So I guess it’s not that long ago since we moved

3 – What do you do?
I am the Founder and CEO of Global Angels. I am also a inspirational speaker and life coach… And a mum!

4 – How did Global Angels start?
Global Angels launched in 2005 with an awesome concert featuring Natasha Bedingfield, Lemar and Daniel Bedingfield. I believe the world needs a new, transparent model of charity where people know that 100% of their donation goes directly to provide tangible resources to the projects on the ground, so that the maximum number of people are helped with each gift. It was important to me that everyone could be an ‘Angel’. The Angel backdrop gives the hint that an Angel had been there, with a suggestion that maybe you could take it’s place and by ‘Stepping Up’ to be an Angel by making a difference in someone’s life!

5 – Which countries does Global Angels support?
Global Angels is an international charity, supporting projects all over the world, including the UK and the US. So far our main projects are in Africa, Asia and we are opening up some in Latin America.

6 – How is Natasha Bedingfield as a Global Angel?
Natasha Bedingfield is one of our Angel Ambassadors. She loves Global Angels and has a particular passion for projects supporting trafficked kids and women. Natasha is a great help to me in spreading the news about the tremendous needs in the world and how we can all make a difference. When I did my record Everest skydive in the Himalayas in 2008, she surprised me by telling everyone in her interviews all about her “amazing mum who was being so brave to jump out of an aeroplane from 29,500ft to help street kids and orphans in Asia.” Natasha also donates her time to give us amazing performances at our concerts, recently hosting ‘Natasha & Friends’ in London in December 2011, featuring herself and Leona Lewis, Joss Stone and John Forte. I think she is a very cool Angel!

7 – What is your favorite Natasha`s song?
My favourite songs of Natasha’s are ‘Wild Horses’ and ‘Recover.’ I also love her cover of ‘Purple Rain’ by Prince which she performed live for us at the Angel Awards. You can watch a video here:

8 – In 2009, Natasha visited India for Global Angels, do you have plans for another visit with her in other countries?
Natasha and I have been talking about how she would love to visit some of our projects. She has been so busy focusing on writing and performing that there has been no time but we are hoping to do something very soon.

9 – The Global Angel Awards was a huge success. Are you planning more Awards for 2012?
Yes! The Global Angel Awards is now an annual event and we are looking forward to the next one, which will be in early November 2012 in London. In the future we hope to host Angel Awards in the US as well as in the UK Exciting!

Make sure to visit the official website of Global Angels to donate and to know more about this beautiful project.

    [EXCLUSIVE] Interview with Kitten Kuroi

Hey guys! Some days ago, i posted on twitter and facebook that a big surprise is coming. So it’s time to reveal it.

NatashaFan is doing exclusive interviews with some members of Natasha’s band, friends and family. I’ll post all of it asap.

The first one is Kitten Kuroi, she worked with Natasha as her backing vocalist and she told us some cool things of backstage. She is one of the most amazing persons that i ever talked. Check it out:

1 – Who is Kitten Kuroi? Age, Profission, Single?

Kitten Kuroi is a Rock Artist from Los Angeles, CA. A Singer and Songwriter. Am I single? I think mysteries are the spice of life, don’t you?  As far as my age, through music, we are all ageless!

2 – We know you are super tallented singer, your new single “Not Worth Sayin'” is HOT. Is it available on Itunes?

My single is DEFINITELY available on iTunes now! Download it today and tell everyone.  You can also listen to it on my website,http://www.kittenkuroi.com, youtube channel, www.youtube.com/kittenkuroi, and on Spotify!

3 – Are you planning a new album soon?

Yes, I am. I don’t have a title for the album yet, but I have been in the studio recording and writing some great music. It’ll definitely be Rock with a lot of attitude. Through my album, I really want to empower and encourage others to be fighters for their truths. I hope that people can find their own power through my songs. Artists that are influencing my record are Chris Cornell, P!nk, Natasha Bedingfield, Tina Turner, Papa Roach, Avenged Sevenfold, Paul Stanley, Muse.

4 – How is to sing on stage with Natasha? We saw you in so many television programs, what is the feeling?

Singing with Natasha is a dream come true. She’s one of the nicest, most caring people in the music industry–well, in general, really. She’s a genuine person. It’s also wonderful to sing with someone that that has SO much talent! Her voice is strong and amazing and it definitely challenges me to BRING IT on stage. When she sings, she lights up the stage. I wish more people could experience her live performances. I don’t think people realize how truly, organically talented she is. It’s definitely encouraged me to believe that I can both be myself and successful if I harness my craft and do it with grace.

5 – You didn’t participate on Less Is More tour, you’re focus on your solo career. Do you still have contact with the band and with Tasha?

I do still have contact with Natasha and the band. We check in with each other from time to time via Facebook or text. We also pop up at each other’s live shows in town, when we can.

6 – What is your favorite Natasha’s song?

“Not Giving Up”. It’s a fighter’s song and I LOVE fighters. It’s a lot more aggressive and in your face than some of her other songs, so I think it gets swept under the radar a bit. But, the message is beautiful–when you truly love something/someone, you fight for it, you work at it. You don’t let it slip away. I love how assertive she is in the song and the desperation of hope. It’s like a battle cry. We performed it a few times and it almost always made me cry. I’m not sure if she knows that, but it’s true! I ADORE that song!

7 – I saw you on Glee, did you like to sing with them? Tell us more. That was pretty cool!

Being on Glee! was loads of fun. It was surreal to be on the other end of the TV, being on set of such a world-popular, ground-breaking show. I got the chance to do a tour of the studios and see where they film all the various scenes–including Sue Sylvester’s office and the choir rehearsal room! The cast members were really nice and the other people I sang with were cool folks, too. Amber Riley, who plays Mercedes Jones on the show, was a sweetheart. Her voice is RIDICULOUS and she had so much grace. A few of us took pictures with her and she was very down to earth about it. What many people don’t know is that her too-cute, real-life Mom also sang in the scene with us!

8 – I know that you participate in AIDS WALK LA. What is that means to you?

AIDS WALK LA means a great deal to me. When I was younger, my Uncle succumbed to AIDS and his funeral is the ONLY funeral I’ve ever sang at. (I’m not a big funeral person…at all) I will never forget him, as he introduced me to artists like Duran Duran, Depeche Mode and others. It blew my mind at the time that he was black and was so open-minded. He was also so nice, giving and playful and was the first ever Gay man I knew and loved.

I walk in AIDS WALK because I support the research, cure and education about HIV/AIDS. I stand in solidarity with every person who walks with a societally imposed label on their foreheads and in their hearts.

Many people don’t realize or care that AIDS drastically changes the lives of millions throughout the world. No one ASKS to have the disease. It is not Gay or Straight, Religious or Atheist, Rich or Poor, Good-hearted or Mean-spirited. It is non-discriminatory and affects EVERYONE and ANYONE.

I believe there’s a cure out there, but before we can stop the disease, we have to stop it from spreading. Meaning, more people should go out and get tested for HIV/AIDS. More people should disclose their status to their partners, as well. Being diagnosed with HIV/AIDS doesn’t make you unloveable. In some cases, more than we may even realize, being open about who you are — including your HIV/AIDS status — could be the final wall to bring down barriers. It could also make someone you’re interested in or close to, feel that much closer to you because you were open and honest with them. It can also be a great way to help enlighten people on the realities of the disease and how your humanity and beautiful individuality still remains intact, post diagnosis. HIV/AIDS doesn’t have to be a social or physical death sentence and fighting together, we can find a cure. Could you imagine a world without AIDS? That would be wonderful.

    9 – Spread the word…

SPREAD THE LOVE!!!  Haha! You know my quote!

10 – Yeah! I love it. Thank you very much

Thank you very much. I really enjoyed your questions!

Natasha Bedingfield: I Would Love To Collaborate With Astro From ‘X Factor’

Natasha Bedingfield told HollywoodLife.com she really wants to work with her favorite ‘The X Factor’ competitor from this season, Astro!
With three studio albums and international success, Natasha Bedingfield is one singer who knows what she’s talking about — and when it comes to The X Factor, she’s convinced Astro, the 14-year-old rapper, was the most talented performer in the entire competition.

“I think he is the one who is going to be a star of all of them,” the 30-year-old British pop singer told HollywoodLife.com exclusively at the VocalizeU launch party at Rolling Stone Restaurant Hollywood last weekend.

When we asked if she’d be interested in collaborating with the teen rapper, she said “absolutely,” explaining, “I love that he writes his own raps, I thought that was very cool.”

She added, “I think sometimes The X Factor misses the real talent because it’s all about singing other people’s songs, [but] a true artist that is long term creates their own original stuff.”

We agree — which is one of the reasons we love Chris Rene, who’s still in the competition.

Natasha Bedingfield Talks Collaborating with Javier Colon on “As Long As We Got Love”

Bedingfield sounds flawless as she shares vocals with Colon, providing the perfect balance to his impeccably soulful delivery. It’s an appropriate follow-up to her most recent fantastic studio album, Strip Me, and it illuminates what a powerhouse singer she is.

Natasha Bedingfield spoke to ARTISTdirect.com editor in chief and Dolor author Rick Florino in this exclusive interview about “As Long As We Got Love” and more…

What spoke to you about “As Long As We Got Love”?

It’s quite a realistic and relatable love story, and that’s what spoke to me about the song. When you know someone for a while so well, it’s easy to take them for granted. Life can be hard at times and full of responsibilities, but having love in the midst of all of that is what helps us get through it all, having each other helps us know what life’s about.

Were you a fan of Javier? When did you first hear him?

I am a fan! His voice is amazing. I saw him on The Voice, and he really impressed me.

Was there instant chemistry in the studio?

We actually didn’t meet in the studio! Due to our schedules and where we both live, it wasn’t possible to be in the studio at the same time and in the same place! We had met before this, but we met again on the set for filming the video. It’s always fun being around Javier and how he just bursts into song! We sang his songs, my songs and even some Disney [Laughs].

What does the song mean to you?

This song to me is all about the journey that love takes us on—it’s not just about the here and now, but about how those moments become the story of you and your other half. And how something can grow from simple hopes and dreams to becoming real—as long as we have love!

Would you want to collaborate again?

Javier is a lot of fun to be with and so talented. I would love to collaborate again if the opportunity arose.

‘I’ve recorded the single, Shake Up Christmas, in six languages and worked with dialect coaches.
‘Singing in Swahili and Filipino were the most challenging but I loved every minute.’

Natasha Bedingfield’s Exhilarating, Nearly Lost Holiday Memory

Pop singer Natasha Bedingfield says her favorite holiday memory nearly didn’t happen because she was busy watching TV.

The UK-born singer, who has often spent Christmas with her family in the summery climate of New Zealand, says in a video released Saturday as part of a Coca-Cola campaign that it was her mother who anticipated how much she would cherish the memory-to-be, if she only listened.

“It was actually sunny outside and then it started to rain and my mom told us to put on our swimming costumes and go run outside in the rain. And I thought she was crazy. I thought it was so embarrassing. I’m like no, I’m watching TV I don’t want to go outside. She’s like no, this is going to be a memory that you’ll remember for the rest of your life. Go out and do it,” she recalls.

“And it honestly was this incredible feeling. This exhilarating, you know, just dancing in the rain. [It] was just on my doorstep and I wanted to stay inside and watch TV. I just needed a bit of a nudge and got out there. Christmas is like you put everything aside and you come together and you make memories.”

    Bedingfield’s New Recording

Bedingfield says a song which she has recorded in time for Christmas as part of a Coca-Cola global campaign touches on both the joyful and complicated experience of spending time together with family.
The song is called “Shake Up Christmas,” a tune recorded last year by the band Train.

“It’s a holiday song. It’s all about those moments when you’re spending your time with your family and you’re having the best times of your life. And it’s quite funny because that’s when it gets sticky and messy and complicated but I feel like the song is about how in those times, in those moments is when you find the greatest joy as well,” Bedingfield said.

The singer, who says one of her favorite traditions when gathering is to sing holiday songs, says it’s “really meaningful” to perform a song that friends and families everywhere can enjoy together.

    Recording Experience

Bedingfield said she was “having a blast” working with Butch Walker, the producer of the song.

Walker – who calls himself a fan of the singer – says together they put their “own little spin” on the “Christmas ditty” which was created in conjunction with marketing firm Devian Ventures.

“We sprinkled it with lots of Bedingfield,” Walker said.

Bedingfield says Walker’s studio has a “funky, fun vibe.”

“We’ve been layering up lots of vocals, lots of harmonies … kind of crisscrossing their way,” she added.
“I guess it represents what the song is about. It’s not all about being neat and tidy. It’s about soul. It’s about waking up the happiness inside you.”

The song is part of a wider campaign on TV, the web, mobile phones, stores and packaging. It shows how people caught up in their daily lives are brought together by a song.

Bedingfield’s single is available on iTunes. A version of the song that combines all six-languages the language was recorded in by Bedingfield will be made available – at a yet unspecified time – for free at facebook.com/cocacola.

Natasha Bedingfield Wants a Driver’s License By Age 30

Natasha Bedingfield has 23 days to make her dream a reality.

At Wednesday’s Avon Foundation Awards Gala in New York City, the 29-year-old singer said she was hoping to get a car for the holidays. “Something that’s a bit vintage,” she mused. “Maybe a Jaguar or maybe a Mercedes.”

The only problem? Bedingfield can’t legally take her potential new ride out for a spin. “I’m getting my driver’s license for the first time very soon,” she told Us Weekly. “Hopefully before I’m 30.”

For now, the British singer — who celebrates her birthday on November 26 — is busy organizing her travel plans with husband Matt Robinson.

“My family’s from New Zealand, so we always have Christmas in the sun in the summer. This year, we’re staying in America, so it’s going to be a white Christmas,” Bedingfield said. “Hopefully, right? Because that’s the only thing — Christmas sucks if it’s not white. Either it’s white snow or white sand, so that’s fine.”

Bedingfield added that she’s looking forward to seeing what husband of nearly two years surprises her with this year.

“The fun thing about marriage is that you can give gifts that keep on giving to each other because you’ve got enough time,” she told Us. “Sometimes, something might not look like a gift at first and then a year later it’s like, ‘Oh!'”

“For example, on Valentine’s Day, my husband went and took sailing lessons and I was like, ‘OK, that’s nice.’ And the following year he took me sailing. So it took a year to become the gift that it was,” she explained. “He’s the captain. Well, you call him the skipper, and I’m the first mate!”
